Coaching & approach

What is Rush Mind Coaching?

Rush Mind Coaching helps people in TV, film and creative work with career direction, skills and industry navigation — and, when you need it, relationships and mental wellbeing in a coaching (not clinical) frame. It’s run by James Ian Gray under Rushes LTD.

Who is it for?

Anyone in (or aiming for) creative industries who wants structured support for goals, stress, relationships at home, or the mix of all three. You don’t need a specific job title — we work with what you bring.

Is this therapy, counselling or medical advice?

No. Coaching is not therapy, psychiatry or medical advice. James holds counselling-skills training and suicide-awareness training, but sessions are coaching. If you need clinical or emergency support, use your GP, NHS 111, or services such as Samaritans — we’re not an emergency service.

Do you only work with people in TV and film?

The practice is built around creative and production realities (hours, pressure, NDAs, on-set culture). Many clients fit that world; if your situation is similar, we can still explore whether coaching is a good fit — start via Get Started.

Sessions, booking & logistics

How do I get started?

Use the Get Started form. We don’t publish email addresses on this site; that form is the right channel for enquiries, complaints (mark “Complaint” if needed) and first contact.

How long is a session?

Sessions are typically up to two hours, often around 90 minutes — enough time to go deep without rushing. Exact arrangements are agreed when you book.

Are sessions in person or online?

Format (in person, remote or hybrid) depends on what you agree when arranging coaching. If you have a strong preference, raise it in your Get Started message.

What about cancellations?

Our coaching engagement notes ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations may be charged in full — see Privacy & Engagement for the detail.

Privacy, payment & records

How confidential is coaching?

Confidentiality is central. We use NDAs where appropriate, careful handling of industry-sensitive detail, and practices aligned with UK data protection. Session notes and storage are described in Privacy & Engagement.

How does payment work?

Sessions are generally paid in advance (e.g. via BACS after invoice), with no cash exchanged in person. Rates and plans are confirmed when you engage. Full payment and cancellation expectations are in Privacy & Engagement.

Where is my data processed?
