Privacy policy

These documents apply to Rush Minda Hub and the websites and services operated under rushmind.co.uk (“we”, “us”). They are provided as a practical template and do not constitute legal advice. Have them reviewed by a qualified solicitor before relying on them in production.

This policy describes how Rush Minda Hub (“we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use https://rushmind.co.uk and related services. It should be read together with our Terms & conditions and Security information.

1. Data controller

The data controller for personal data collected through rushmind.co.uk is Rush Minda Hub. Contact: privacy@rushmind.co.uk (or legal@rushmind.co.uk for formal requests).

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use the Site, we may process:

  • Account data: name, email, password hash, role (e.g. learner, coach), preferences.
  • Usage & learning data: lesson progress, quiz results, bookmarks, community posts, event registrations, support tickets.
  • Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, approximate location from IP, logs, cookies and similar technologies.
  • Payment data: processed by our payment partners (e.g. Stripe); we typically receive limited billing metadata, not full card numbers.
  • Communications: messages you send us or post in community or chat features, subject to moderation.

3. Why we use data (lawful bases)

  • Contract: to provide accounts, deliver programs, process purchases, and operate coach tools at rushmind.co.uk.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the platform, prevent abuse, improve features, analyse aggregate usage, and communicate service updates (balanced against your rights).
  • Legal obligation: for tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
  • Consent: where required (for example certain marketing cookies or optional communications) — you may withdraw consent at any time.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and local storage for session security, preferences, analytics, and (where you agree) marketing measurement. You can control cookies through your browser. Essential cookies remain necessary for login and fraud prevention on rushmind.co.uk.

5. Sharing & processors

We use trusted processors (hosting, email delivery, analytics, payments, chat infrastructure) under contracts that require them to protect data and process it only on our instructions. Where they are outside the UK/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, and dispute resolution requirements. Backup copies may persist for a limited period after deletion.

7. Security

We implement technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk. Overview: see Security information. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure.

8. Your rights (UK GDPR)

Subject to exemptions, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

To exercise rights, contact privacy@rushmind.co.uk. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) — ico.org.uk.

9. Children

Rush Minda Hub is not directed at children under the minimum digital consent age relevant to rushmind.co.uk. If you believe a child has provided data, contact privacy@rushmind.co.uk so we can delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy on rushmind.co.uk. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
